I am a pretty down to earth person, who can also be a glam BIG CITY GAL. I was blessed to have been at international schools all my life, so I have always had a very global outlook. Nevertheless, I do LOVE New York. I like European fashion; the British pragmatism and products when it comes to child rearing; the American’s ability to multi-task and to raise multi-faceted individuals; and the african/asian’s focus on academics and discipline. I also admire families that encourage kids to do ‘non-electronic’ activities. That’s not to say, that I don’t advocate television, iphones or the WII. Who can survive without them?  My children are from multiple cultures and our friends are from all over. What I find in my children’s generation, is that everyone is extremely global given how small the world has become as a result of the internet, international migration, books, and TV. There really is a little need to travel. I love that! I feel like I can relate to people from all walks of life with the exception of Mars, which I have never been to. I would like to visit though.
